Amy Lee’s younger brother suffered an epileptic attack when she was young and she was extremely terrified of the seizures because she had no idea as to what it was and even thought that he was possessed.

She says she realizes now that so much of fear and panic was pointless and hence she decided to donate to an organization which educates people about epilepsy after this incident with her own younger brother. Amy Lee married Josh Hartzler, her long time friend, in an ivory Victorian styled gown at a private ceremony in her homeland of Arkansas. Since then she stated to her fans that she has officially changed her name to Mrs., Amy Hartzler.
